The Civil Defense General Command emphasized that the project is a remarkable and pioneering model worldwide and was implemented in record time compared to the size of the colossal achievement. The Ministry also noted that the various stages of implementation and tests, along with the adoption of the proper equipment, qualification of partners and linking locations, were performed exhaustively and successively, in a bid to provide a comprehensive and sustainable service and overcome potential challenges and legislative and legal obstacles.
The ministry explained that this leading national project is implemented within a fruitful cooperation between the private and public sector and complements the myriad of national achievements accomplished by qualified and innovative national cadres. The ministry also noted that the system will be constantly developed to ensure continuity and high-quality of the service, in a way that achieves happiness for community members and maintains national gains.
The Civil Defense General Command also noted that this innovative system will not only promote public safety procedures and protect lives; it will also contribute to improving buildings’ safety specifications and maintenance requirements as well as protection systems. It indicated that linking buildings and homes to the system yields circumstantial benefits, as it provides an accurate assessment of buildings’ operational systems performance, with respect to the civil defense requirements via periodic reports to building owners and developers.
The initiative represents a state-of-the-art solution to ensure safety of buildings and protection of lives and property across the UAE. It allows operators at the central Alarm Receiving Center (ARC) to validate and check notifications within seconds, in a bid to prevent fire accidents and ensure safety of all. It also promotes buildings’ safety by providing comprehensive information pertaining to buildings to ensure that the proper resources are dispatched to location in a timely and accurate way.
The Hassantuk service website was officially launched on the Ministry of Interior’s website (https://hassantuk.moi.gov.ae/). The Ministry also assigned two contact numbers for Hassantuk, (800333363) for buildings and (80022220) for residential houses. Feedback and observations can be submitted through the MoI’s website and social media accounts.
